Caledonia Plan Commission recommends approval of 93 residential units near the lake

Caledonia's Plan Commission has recommended the approval of the Water's Edge Condominium Development project, initially greenlit in 2020 with plans for 280 units across three towers, villas, and townhomes. In 2022, a redesign by Milwaukee's Rinka reduced the units to 175, featuring two- and three-story townhomes (65 units) and villa-style dwellings (28 units). The updated plan, including a central clubhouse with a pool and sporting courts, earned praise for its improved building design and lower density. Final approval from the Village Board is pending, with the developer eyeing a groundbreaking next spring.
